This time around we are giving the duo style of tournament a break to bring you guys a typical 1v1 tournament, but using Region Lock! Region lock prevents the usage of any region twice within your 3 deck lineup.This is meant to promote more deck diversity! DATE: January 8th, 9AM PST / 12 NOON EST! PRIZE: $1000 USD (1st. $560, 2nd. $280, 3rd/4rd $80) SHARD: This time it will be on the NA Shard! FORMAT: Bo3, 3 Deck Region Lock. Swiss-style with single elimination top cut. RIOT LOCK SEASONALS FORMAT! This event will be held using a swiss bracket featuring Best-of-3 matches. TO EDIT YOUR DECKS AFTER YOU SIGN-UP YOU MUST GO TO "manage tournament registration" DO NOT GO TO "complete decks" BECAUSE IT'S BUGGED AND YOU WILL ONLY SEE ONE OF YOUR DECKS. EDITING DECKS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED AFTER 11am EST January 8th! CHECK-IN WILL BEGIN AT 11:00 AM EST Visit the GGtoor Discord for ongoing updates about the event: https://discord.gg/GUhyZxFH8Q ILLEGAL DECK: Starting the game with an illegal deck (i.e. a deck that does not match what is on the deck spreadsheet) will result in a game loss for the offending player if the game continues after both players have completed their mulligans. If the error is caught before this, simply replay the game with the correct decks. Bans will be handled using Runeterra's Best of 3 challenge in-game client. If you have issues with the bans in the client please use #lor-chat on Discord to communicate with the mods. TARDINESS: If your opponent appears to be non-responsive after 5 minutes of the round start, then call a moderator on SmashGG and ping your opponent and staff in #lor-cant-find-opponent. 10 minutes with no response from the opponent is a game loss for them. 15 minutes no response is a full match loss. DISCONNECTS: If there is a disconnection during a match game, the disconnected player should rejoin the game as quickly as possible and keep playing the game. Otherwise, it is usually a game loss (unless it was due to an in-game bug and not a connection issue; this is at the sole discretion of the Tournament Staff). The best way to show/prove a glitch is to have it recorded on video or screenshots. Age: To be eligible to participate, a player must be at least 13 years old (or such other age, if greater, as may be required in such player’s country of residence). Players between the ages of 13 and 17 (or such other age, if greater, as may be required in such player’s country of residence) must have written permission from a parent or legal guardian (a form will be provided which must be returned in order to complete processing your registration). Cheating of any kind will result in disqualification without prizes from the event, and being banned from all future events. If you are in a match where you believe your opponent cheated, please send any evidence you may have to the tournament staff. This includes suspicion of invalid side decking. If this somehow happens to you unintentionally, you should immediately alert your opponent and tournament staff - if you don't, you will be deemed to have been Cheating, and you will be disqualified without prizing and banned from all future events. Intentional roping will be investigated throughout, please report immediately if you feel the opponent is intentionally roping to win and a mod will spectate and investigate. *Note: If the match goes to time as a player is 1-0 the player who has won a game will be the winner of the match. Additionally, matches during Swiss will be ruled a draw if Overtime expires during Game 1 or Game 3. Sportsmanlike conduct is expected. You are NOT allowed to be disruptive or harass your opponent on SmashGG, Discord, Twitch chat, etc. (or any other actions that could be considered unsportsmanlike conduct except for actions intended to be allowed within the game itself as part of normal game-play.) If you do, then your actions may result in a game loss, match loss, or disqualification from the event without prizes, solely at the discretion of the Tournament Staff. STREAMING OPTIONAL: If you plan to stream and want to be featured on cast you must be on a 5 min delay with no overlays. We realize not every player can do this, so this is not mandatory: If you have the capability, live streaming and/or recording video of all of your matches is a good idea, to help eliminate any possibility of any dispute arising as to the results of the match. Select matches for this event may be streamed on Twitch. Competitors playing in the event may live stream the event from their own POV as well (and are strongly encouraged to do so! Please add #GGtoor & #Runeterralife to your stream title if you do.) By registering for this event, you agree that we may live re-broadcast your live stream from our designated Twitch channels and cast any game-play during the course of the event, as well as create VODs of this content. Any content we make may be made available on our official Youtube channels and other platforms, so others may marvel at your awesome plays (or epic fails!)
